Green Seattle Day is going to be an outdoor planting party you don't want to miss. Join hundreds of volunteers planting thousands of plants in fourteen parks throughout The Emerald City.
Groundbreaking at an Urban Farm
Sat, Nov 7 | 10am-2pm | Ages 18+
We will be partnering with local families, members of the existing Estelle Street P-Patch, and nearby Senior Housing residents to transform this Rainier Valley space into a community farm.
Playground Revamp in Broadview
Sat, Nov 14 | 9am-1pm | Ages 18+
Broadview Thomson K-8 is under attack from invasive ivy! Roll up your sleeves and pitch in as we spend the morning clearing shrubs and laying mulch around the school grounds to create a clean and safe space for students.
Save a Salmon Stream
Sat, Nov 21 | 10am-2pm | Age 6+
Let's work to restore the Longfellow Creek urban forest! This creek is one of only four salmon bearing streams in Seattle. Salmon often die in the creek before they get a chance to spawn due to pollution run off from nearby development. Let's do our part!
Dinner and Shelter Prep at ROOTS
Tuesday & Thursdays | 7:30-10:30pm | Ages 13+
Having a place to receive a nutritious meal and shelter for the night can make all the difference in the lives of the homeless young adult guests at ROOTS.
Volunteer crews help prepare healthy meals, as well as set up shelter (typically helping to get clean bedding ready for use in the shelter) for our guests!
Winter Festival Support
Sun, Dec 6 | 6-9pm | Ages 14+
Sick of the same ol' holiday party? So are we. Let's volunteer at a unique neighborhood Winter Festival!
Volunteer and help clean-up after the Phinney Neighborhood Association's epic Winter Festival. We'll put away tables and chairs, sweep and maybe even "dispose" of the leftovers from the bake sale.
BONUS: The Bridge - Board Training
Sat, Nov 7 | 9am-5pm | $150 (scholarships available)
Don't miss our last training of 2015!
